A few common causes: the Story may have already passed its 24-hour window and expired, the account might be private, the specific post may have been deleted by the poster, or your internet connection might have dropped mid-request. Double-check that you copied the full, correct link and that the Story was still visible on Instagram when you grabbed it. If it's still not working after retrying, the safest bet is to reopen Instagram, re-copy the link fresh, and try downloading again right away.
